Release notes 

Completely new.
Functionality is almost complete but it's missing a graphical configuration interface.
It checks every 90 seconds. If you want to modify this just edit the gm-notify.py

For setting the credentials a script called set-gmail-password.py is included. Call it with no arguments to see the usage information

HINT: The python-notify and python-indicate libs have to be installed: sudo apt-get install python-notify python-indicate
