Release notes
The current source code has not changed since the 31st of August 2016 and has been running on several production setups without bugs or faults.
All use cases are satisfied for the requirements of it working on Ubuntu 16.04.
The fact that it can run on newer and older versions of ubuntu; and other completely different distributions are just a bonus but not officially supported as the requirements are for the current Ubuntu LTS.
