The "trunk" series represents the primary line of development rather than a stable release branch. This is sometimes also called MAIN or HEAD.
Release 0.9 includes many bug fixes and improvements over 0.6. Also, this release will be actively maintained and bug fixes backported to it where relevant. This version is suitable for everyday use in all environments, it still needs masses more translations adding to its database and several features are missing. German to English support is significantly greater than any other language combination and this won't be fixed until 1.0 when hopefully all combinations will be approximately even.
First version that can be built as a deb file. This version is neither bug-free nor feature complete, but it is perfectly usable. Packages will appear in the PPA before long.
First usable release. Not feature complete, several bugs, but usable nevertheless.
