make-ubuntu-kernel.sh is a semi-automated script to build a custom Ubuntu kernel.

Compare https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Kernel/Compile.
The script works for all Ubuntu versions since Ubuntu 8.04 Hary Heron.

Download the script "make-ubuntu-kernel.sh" (English version) or a translated version from http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~barcc/make-ubuntu-kernel/trunk/files and store it somewhere in your PATH (e.g. ~/bin/). Make it executable and run it from the kernel source directory:
$ make-ubuntu-kernel.sh FLAVOUR
or to get some help:
$ make-ubuntu-kernel.sh -h

Originally the script was created for the German wiki http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Kernel/Kompilierung, but may be useful to others as well.
