2014.01 release from the trunk series released

Release notes:

Linaro QEMU 2014.01 is the latest release of qemu-linaro. Based off upstream (trunk) QEMU, it includes a number of ARM-focused bug fixes and enhancements.

This release has been updated to be based on upstream's recent 1.7.0 release. Interesting ARM related upstream changes include the addition of experimental virtio device support in the vexpress-a9 and vexpress-a15 boards, and a new TCG target for emulating other CPUs on AArch64 host systems.

Note that unless you require any qemu-linaro specific features (the only current such feature is OMAP3 board emulation) it is likely you will be better served by upstream's releases than by the Linaro QEMU releases currently.

Linaro QEMU 2013.06 is the latest release of qemu-linaro. Based off upstream (trunk) QEMU, it includes a number of ARM-focused bug fixes and enhancements.

This release has been updated to be based on upstream's recent 1.5.0 release. Interesting ARM related upstream changes include fixes to the VersatilePB and Realview model PCI controller, improved performance of emulation of ARM targets, and working VM save/load for vexpress-a15 and vexpress-a9 board models.

Release notes:

Linaro QEMU 2013.03 is the latest release of qemu-linaro. Based off
upstream (trunk) QEMU, it includes a number of ARM-focused bug fixes
and enhancements.

This release has been updated to be based on upstream's recent 1.4.0
release. It also includes ARM KVM support patches which are in sync
with the ABI as committed to the upstream Linux kernel for 3.9.
This feature is still under development but will no longer be subject
to kernel-vs-userspace ABI breaks.

 - Rebased onto upstream v1.4.0.
 - Fixes #1082292: warning messages from pflash_write during
   Linux probe for flash type are now suppressed
 - The ARM KVM support in this version is in sync with the
   ABI as committed to the upstream Linux kernel for 3.9.
   This feature is still under development but will no longer
   be subject to kernel-vs-userspace ABI breaks.

There are no major changes in this month's release, but it has
been updated to be based on upstream's recent 1.3.0 release.

Known issues:
 - Graphics do not work for OMAP3 based models (beagle, overo)
  with newer Linaro images.
 - Audio may not work on Versatile Express models with the latest
 Linaro kernel/hardware packs (LP:977610).

Release notes

Linaro QEMU 2012.05 is the latest monthly release of qemu-linaro. Based
off upstream (trunk) QEMU, it includes a number of ARM-focused bug fixes
and enhancements.

New in this month's release:
 - Beagle bootrom emulation now correctly handles FAT12/FAT16
   images (thanks to Peter Chubb for the bug report and patch).
 - We now support running ARM BE8 userspace binaries (ie
   byte-invariant big-endian data and little-endian code).

Known issues:
 - Graphics do not work for OMAP3 based models (beagle, overo)
  with 11.10 Linaro images.
 - Audio may not work on Versatile Express models with the latest
 Linaro kernel/hardware packs (LP:977610).

Linaro QEMU 2012.04 is the latest monthly release of qemu-linaro. Based
off upstream (trunk) QEMU, it includes a number of ARM-focused bug fixes
and enhancements.

New in this month's release:
 - ppoll syscall now supported in ARM linux-user mode
 - the SETEND instruction in the Thumb encoding now UNDEFs to
   match behaviour for the ARM encoding
 - the OMAP36xx UART FIFO status registers are now implemented
   (thanks to Jan Vesely)

Known issues:
 - Graphics do not work for OMAP3 based models (beagle, overo)
  with 11.10 Linaro images.
 - Audio may not work on Versatile Express models with the latest
 Linaro kernel/hardware packs (LP:977610).

Changelog:

 - Fixes #928432: compiling spice support for i386 should
   no longer give compile warnings/errors.
 - Fixes #953544: 'SETEND' in Thumb mode should now UNDEF,
   in line with the behaviour for the ARM encoding.
