2.0.2 Released, Upcoming 2.1

Written for Search Solve by Jared Hance on 2009-11-20

2.0.2 is released, fixing rather large bugs. The program should be usable.

2.1 implements another program called "searchview"

"searchview" is designed to show the results in a more eye-pleasing way, without resorting to a graphical user interface. 2.1 will also feature an enhanced testsuite to improve durability.

2.0.2 Releasing Soon

Written for Search Solve by Jared Hance on 2009-11-19

2.0.2 will be released earlier than expected due to an appearance of a rather large bug, which caused it to give incorrect points when using two of the eight word directions.

2.0.2 was, originally, going to have a rather large testsuite behind it so that work on 2.1 could begin, but now 2.0.2 will be released early with a rather small testsuite, whereas 2.0.3 will have its focus on the large testsuite.

2.0.1 has two focuses:

- Fixing a harmless bug that was quite noticeable when the program is run without the correct number of arguments
- Attaching documentation (The pre-built windows executable does not include the documentation)

Version 2.0 Released!

Written for Search Solve by Jared Hance on 2009-11-15

Version 2.0 is much different from the old legacy 1.0, which was built upon Java with a graphical user interface.

This release destroys anything that might slow down the program, including the interface (Which may come back as an optional part in 2.1). The entire code has been rewritten in C.

The code itself is much smaller, with only 2 actual code files (and 2 headers). It is also packaged better, with an autoconf generated configure script. There is also a PPA available through SearchSolve Developers.
