Mantic 23.10 says "frozen", but shouldn't it be "current"?

Asked by zubozrout

Hi,
I wanted to open this as a bug report but I failed that exercise so I am instead asking here.

We are using this file:
https://api.launchpad.net/devel/ubuntu/series

as a basis for ubuntu.cz site. However that has not been synced with the current state of Ubuntu 23.10 I presume as it says "frozen" rather than "current". And the same I can also see here:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/mantic

Has there been any issue with the release that prevents it from being promoted to stable perhaps? Or is that an oversight?
If possible it would be nice to see this one fixed so that we can promote Ubuntu 23.04 on our Czech site too.

Thank you so much.
Best regards,
Martin

As far as I can remember from previous releases, it takes a few days after publishing date, until everything is set up, including the status value on Launchpad.

I suggest that you wait a few more days. If the status has not been updated by Thursday (one week after publishing date), then you definitely should create a bug report.

Remark: Also the information about the next Ubuntu release 24.04 LTS "N" is not there yet.

I am afraid no. It was always changed in the matter of hours, not days. Hence why we rely on that on ubuntu.cz

The date listed is only the expected date for release of Ubuntu 23.10.
The release team is still working on bug reports before they release
the O.S. this will be later in the month or next.

Thank you. Surprising ubuntu.com homepage is still promoting it so I thought the issue is now resolved. I saw it but didn't expect that to still be an issue. Thank you so much for the info though, this makes sense then :).
