protobuf 2.5.0-9ubuntu1 source package in Ubuntu

Changelog

protobuf (2.5.0-9ubuntu1) trusty; urgency=medium

  * Resynchronise with Debian. Remaining changes:
    - Fix linking with -lpthread.
    - Move default-jdk to Build-Depends-Indep, also for cross-build
      compatibility.
    - Remove cpp_message.py from the python bindings package, since it
requires the C++ module implementation that we're no longer shipping.

protobuf (2.5.0-9) unstable; urgency=medium

  * Upload to unstable.
  * Officially take over primary maintainership of the package, per Iustin.

libprotobuf-lite8: protocol buffers C++ library (lite version)

Protocol buffers are a flexible, efficient, automated mechanism for
serializing structured data - similar to XML, but smaller, faster, and
simpler. You define how you want your data to be structured once, then you can
use special generated source code to easily write and read your structured
data to and from a variety of data streams and using a variety of languages.
You can even update your data structure without breaking deployed programs
that are compiled against the "old" format.
 .
Google uses Protocol Buffers for almost all of its internal RPC protocols and
 file formats.
 .
This package contains the runtime library needed for C++ applications whose
message definitions have the "lite runtime" optimization setting.
