Input method switcher
PPA description
It lets you switch input method frameworks without needing to restart your desktop session.
To use, install input-method-switcher, then run "im-config -n proxy" and restart the session. From that point on, you can switch between IBus and Fcitx by modifying the dconf setting "framework" under /com/ubuntu/input-method-switcher.
Currently only supports IBus and Fcitx frameworks and Qt 5, GTK 2, and GTK 3 applications. You must configure IBus and Fcitx separately using their own configuration tools. This also means you must configure and use their independent switching shortcuts to select the appropriate input method engine once the framework is selected.
Adding this PPA to your system
You can update your system with unsupported packages from this untrusted PPA by adding ppa:attente/input-method-switcher to your system's Software Sources. (Read about installing)
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:attente/input-method-switcher
sudo apt update
