PPA description
This PPA contains a fixed version of recutils, that is capable to deal with encrypted rec files.
For some reason both ubuntu utopic and ubuntu vivid contain broken versions of recutils 1.7, that are uncapable of dealing with encrypted files. Basically this means that if you made some encrypted rec archive with a previous version of ubuntu, it is now impossible for you to open or use it.
For some obscure reasons, there seems to be no interest in ubuntu in fixing this issue. Hence, the ppa.
Adding this PPA to your system
You can update your system with unsupported packages from this untrusted PPA by adding ppa:callegar/recutils to your system's Software Sources. (Read about installing)
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:callegar/recutils
sudo apt update
