PPA description
Contains a FPC 3.2.0 and a patched version of Lazarus 2.0.10 (~10c-1) derived from Graham Inggs Backports Testing PPA (Focal). The patch alters the order that a TrayIcon searches for a way to display its Icon. It now tries for an AppIndicator and only uses the Traditional SysTray if that fails. This change is to allow for the fact that U2110 Gnome claims to be able to do SysTray but, in fact, cannot.
They have been built for Ubuntu 18.04 Bionic and Ubuntu 20.04 Focal specifically to build tomboy-ng in the associated PPA but are possibly useful directly. But understand they have not been extensively tested and will possibly not be updated in the future.
The FPC is a direct copy of Graham's version, however, the Qt5 components have been stripped out for U18.04, it has a seriously out of date libqt5pas. So, Bionic is useful only for GTK2 apps. In the 20.04 Focal we have set lcl-qt5 as a dependency, alongside lcl-gtk2 of lcl-units (instead of an alternative, thats silly).
Supports only AMD64.
I do not recommend using this PPA to install Lazarus on your own machine, it will cause problems updating and, honestly, Lazarus is far better installed in user space. Download the source and build it yourself, its easy !
