d2x-xl
PPA description
D2X-XL is a port of Descent 2 to OpenGL. See http://www.descent2.de/d2x.html for more details. Note that the default data folder for my build is /usr/share/games/d2x-xl. I recommend installing the versions of libsdl, libsdl-image, and libsdl-mixer found in this repository. D2X-XL will work with the default Ubuntu versions, but you will most likely have to turn off music or sound will crash, and eventually cause the program to hang when you exit the game.
Adding this PPA to your system
You can update your system with unsupported packages from this untrusted PPA by adding ppa:glennric/d2x-xl to your system's Software Sources. (Read about installing)
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:glennric/d2x-xl
sudo apt update
