This code is a packaged version of the driver from here:

This applies to MacBooks from the mid 2010s, with this device or similar:
04:00.0 Multimedia controller: Broadcom Inc. and subsidiaries 720p FaceTime HD Camera
If you have any issues with installation please contact here, not github.
To install you'll need to install both packages - as below:
$ sudo apt install facetimehd-dkms facetimehd-firmware
Adding this PPA to your system
You can update your system with unsupported packages from this untrusted PPA by adding ppa:greg-whiteley/facetimehd to your system's Software Sources. (Read about installing)
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:greg-whiteley/facetimehd
sudo apt update
