This module will nor work with recent kernels. Instead you can just use your HDJ controller in HID mode as described here:

DKMS based package patched to work with current kernels.
Specifically this works with 2.6.35 (Maverick), 2.6.38 (Natty) and 3.0.0 (Oneiric)

Adding this PPA to your system
You can update your system with unsupported packages from this untrusted PPA by adding ppa:rojtberg/hdjmod to your system's Software Sources. (Read about installing)
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:rojtberg/hdjmod
sudo apt update
