Users of the 32bit packages may experience errors such as
"/usr/bin/ld: error: cannot open crt1.o: No such file or directory"
"/usr/bin/ld: error: cannot open crti.o: No such file or directory"

Possible solution is
LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu:$LIBRARY_PATH
export LIBRARY_PATH
