Backports of Inkscape stable releases
PPA description
This is a (semi)-official PPA with Inkscape backports for all current Ubuntu distributions that didn't reach End Of Life yet.
Regarding the current status of this PPA: Inkscape development team is aware of its existence, however, I am not an official Inkscape dev and do not package Inkscape myself. Instead, the rebuilds of latest Debian testing packages are provided. Therefore, use at your own risk, or stick to the supported packages of your distribution.
Please be mindful of the fact that the software in this PPA depends upon Ubuntu's official Backports repositories (default dependencies and unsupported updates). Currently, this is a build-time dependency for Ubuntu Hardy, but in the future, the installation of the software from this PPA might require you to have backports enabled in your software sources.
Adding this PPA to your system
You can update your system with unsupported packages from this untrusted PPA by adding ppa:zyv/inkscape-backports to your system's Software Sources. (Read about installing)
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:zyv/inkscape-backports
sudo apt update
