with just password authentication. So one does not have to setup SSH keys to be able to manage all
machines. Yes it is not as secure, but that is up to the administrator anyway. Because SSH keys
alone will never stop anyone, so why not be able to automate things with password auth?
Of course it also works fine with just SSH keys.

Here you can find the latest development version and also the latest stable release. But as of now the main resource for information is still my site, so you will find more information there.
Although the latest version is flagged as a development version, it is generally quite safe to use as I normally test things before I commit them. However for production envoiroments I would opt for the stable releases (just like you always do).
If you have not tried 2.1 yet you definitely should, it has a lot of great new features.
Important notice, since the release of 2.0.1 the software is now licensed under GPL.
