Goals, if all goes well are as follows:
 - Ease development of new distros by providing a package management system that is abstract enough to coexist peacefully with other package management systems.
 - Improve software browsing and installation experience for new users by providing a much simpler to use package management interface.
 - Increase the reach of independent software vendors by providing a platform that allows them to distribute their software through the system.
 - Increase the number of available software applications for a given operating system by providing architecture and operating system compatibility information in the packages.
