Tutorials and related documentation to help people get up and running with Bio-Linux on the Cloud.
This project is aligned with efforts to develop and make available Bio-Linux images to run on cloud computing infrastructure.
Cloud computing infrastructure has great potential for use in bioinformatics analysis. The main barriers for biological researchers thinking of using cloud compute resources for their bioinformatics work are knowing how to get started, and having access to images that have all, or most of, the tools they need pre-installed.
This project aims to address the first of these barriers - how to get started - by providing simple-to-follow instructions for running a Cloud-Bio-Linux instance.
The second barrier - having Cloud-Bio-Linux instances to run, is being addressed by a group of international collaborators, including members of the NEBC and JGI. The Cloud Bio-Linux homepage is http://
