The main emphasis of frei0r is on simplicity for an API that rounds up the
most common video effects into simple filters, sources and mixers that
can be controlled by parameters.

Frei0r comes as an header and a collection of plugins; optional library dependencies are opencv and gavl.

The Frei0r collection counts more than 80 effects implemented, it's widely supported by video applications as FFmpeg, PureData, Open Movie Editor, DVEdit, Gephex, LiVES, FreeJ, MøB, VeeJay, MLT and KDEnLive; it is also ported to M$/Windows and Apple/OSX.
