ImageVis3D is a volume rendering application specifically designed to
render large data. This is achieved by splitting the dataset into
multiple levels of detail (LoD), with each level itself decomposed
into multiple bricks (atomic rendering primitive).

The project is developed using external resources at the Scientific Computing and Imaging (SCI) Institute at the University of Utah. See:

   https://gforge.sci.utah.edu/gf/project/imagevis3d

for more information, including how to obtain the source code. Source can be obtained anonymously, and we encourage you to download and contribute patches, which should be sent to the tuvok-developers mailing list:

   https://lists.sci.utah.edu/sympa/info/tuvok-developers

The listing here in Launchpad is strictly used for bug tracking. ImageVis3D also includes a built-in "Report an Issue" dialog for reporting bugs; we encourage you to use that facility, but you may also enter bugs here manually.

Development of ImageVis3D is sponsored by the NIH/NCRR Center for Integrative
Biomedical Computing (CIBC), and the DOE Visualization And Analytics Center
for Enabling Technologies (VACET).
