Netswitch has a low-level library/script included in libswitch package and some GUI are in their own package.

Gswitch for GTK+, GNOME environment is already up and running, Kswitch for Qt/KDE is under development, and other GUI may be created if you want to participate ;)

Concerning th project, it was started in 2004 but officially the website opened in november 2005, when the tool was as stable to be used.

For the moment there is only one developper, but If you want to help :)
