Oversteep is a simple timer that has uses presets for the most common types of teas, and allows the user to create their own if they wish. Oversteep is not just limited to tea, the user has the ability to create a custom timers for any other activities as well.
Sure, you could use some awesome h4x0rz skills that you've got and write yourself a one-liner bash script that runs sleep, aplay, and even notify-send to get some gui action in there, but this is more fun!
Honestly, I am only working on this application because I am interested in learning Python and GTK+ (PyGTK) and so far it has been a great deal of fun. If you want to improve the application then please test it, ask questions, report bugs, ask for features, just waste a whole bunch of time.
