Masakari provides Virtual Machine High Availability (VMHA) service for OpenStack clouds by automatically recover the KVM-based Virtual Machine(VM)s from failure events such as VM process down, provisioning process down, and nova-compute host failure. Also provides API service to manage and control the automated rescue mechanism.

This project is the official Python client library for Masakari. It provides a Python API (the masakariclient module) and a command-line tool (masakari) as well as acting as a plugin for the official OpenStack Python client (python-openstackclient).
