Six provides a library of utilities for writing code that is compatible on both Python 2 and 3.

Six aims to provide simple, consistent interfaces to places where Python 2 and 3 have diverged. Documentation is at http://packages.python.org/six/. The code is now on BitBucket: http://bitbucket.org/gutworth/six.
