SchoolTool Project

SchoolTool is free administrative software for schools around the world. The goals of the project are to create a simple turnkey student information system, including demographics, gradebook, attendance, calendaring and reporting for primary and secondary schools, as well as a framework for building customized applications and configurations for individual schools or states.

The SchoolTool Project is made up of developers and educators from around the world. Developers in the US and Lithuania maintain the core application with funding from Mark Shuttleworth. Other locally funded teams contribute components such as the CanDo competency tracking application, used extensively in career centers across the Commonwealth of Virginia (US).

A global network of teachers and administrators SchoolTool and provide feedback. Volunteers from around the world provide translations through this website.
