The Staccato project provides data transfer services. It is primarily intended to move virtual machine images with in the OpenStack project. It offloads the responsibility and workload of protocol negotiation, protocol interpretation, process overhead of marshalling bytes, progress check-pointing, and failure recovery from clients. Instead of stopping processing to upload/download large data sets simple tell Staccato to do it for you.
