This project is serving the purpose of installing the jmxtrans bundle for Google Cloud Monitoring.

I started out using the project https://github.com/dstockman/puppet-stackdriver-agent for puppet, and found that the jmxtrans binary is included in the puppet module. My personal opinion is that it is not really a good idea to have a binary in git or puppet. I decided to create this project and serve a debian ppa for installing the binary in a somewhat cleaner way.

The license is MIT since the license for the jmxtrans project is set to MIT.
