The teaFS is an initiative and software that concentrates on improving organization of a computer files.
The filesystems historically are bound by a hierarchical tree structure of a directories, this structure however in some cases is a barrier for a good documents, pictures or other data organization.
In contrast to the directory based file classification, the teaFS uses hierarchy free tags. The teaFS is also based on FUSE, therefore it can be accessed by an applications like a standard filesystem.
Because the tags are different then static directories, the teaFS behaves differently. For instance actions like directory creation/removal vary compared to the classical filesystems. Eventually the tag-organized files can be reached with no need for any extra software – but with just a new rules in the mind!
The teaFS is a FUSE based filesystem which aims to bring a "tags experience". It is designed to work independently - it can be used with a command line or any files manager.
However, the files manager which would be designed for teaFS would be an excellent software complementing the system.
At this point any remarks regrading idea or documentation are very welcome. Also information about grammar mistakes would be very helpful.
