Our project is an open source volunteer effort to create and maintain quality documentation for Wine using the Ubuntu Linux operating system.

We were founded in 2013 by Thomas Corwin, who saw the need for targeted up-to-date and consistent documentation for Wine, a program that allows Windows-based applications on Linux/Mac.

This project is part of the Ubuntu Manual Project.

Our mission is to provide a wide range of quality educational materials to lower the Linux barrier to entry for new users switching from a Windows-based operating system to Ubuntu by teaching users how to run many popular Windows applications on Ubuntu.
