Zekr is an open platform Qur'an study tool for simply browsing and researching on the Holy Qur'an. It is a Qur'an-based project, planned to be a universal, open source, and cross-platform application to perform most of the usual refers to Qur'an. The main idea is to build an as generic as possible platform to accept different add-ons and extensions.
Zekr is written in Java and works with Java 5 and newer. It uses SWT as the underlying rendering engine which makes it capable of looking like native OS widgets.
You can participate by providing Qur'anic resources (translations with proper license, images/icons), feature requests, making language packs for you own language, and making custom themes. You can also help us in development of the Zekr project. See: http://
