Hi everyone.
I'm a long time Linux user. After a first unsuccessful attempt with Mandrake in 2001, I installed Debian in 2002, switched to Gentoo in 2004 and finally settled for Ubuntu in 2006.
I think Ubuntu has an incredible potential as a distribution focused on user experience. The core architects really get release management and process industrialization. Now it's up to knowledgeable users to step in and help fix bugs within this organization :D.
In my day job, I work on architecture design and development of JEE components (n tier architectures).
Helping with Ubuntu is very interesting IMO because it is a very complex (eco)system made up of multiple languages, and available on many architectures. There is always something new to learn here.
