I am a Java programmer. I moved to Linux for my development machine three years ago because our product build time was cut to half and that saved me about 2 hours a week. Among Linux variations I chose Ubuntu 8.04 and stuck with it because of seemless updates & upgrades. As of now, I have Ubuntu 10.10 running on Lenovo T61 laptop.
