I have been using Linux since 2003. In mid 2005 a co-worker introduced me to Ubuntu. At the time I was using Red Hat, Gentoo, and Suse all using KDE as my desktop. Gnome was foreign to me so I really wasn't impressed.
     Late in 2005 I switched jobs and a different co-worker said that he wanted to try Linux and I happened to have some of the CDs that I received from shipit with me. He had never used Linux at all so I figured that I should have a machine using the same version in case he had any questions. In the course of showing him his new OS I fell in love with Ubuntu. Since then I have stopped dual booting my personal machines and switched them totally to Ubuntu.
