Rob is -still- an Ubuntu user.

I obviously haven't changed this description for a while (see below) because I just installed 14.04! (But still a compulsive updater although at least I install the alphas, betas and release candidates in virtual machines these days!)

As a compulsive updater he has installed Gutsy Gibbon. It seems to work fine using the older 2.6.20-16 kernel but the missing RT61 wireless drivers are preventing him from using 2.6.22-6. On the bright side, that saves him going through the hassle of re-building the ATI fglrx drivers again. Note to self: Next time buy Nvidia!
