Currently just joined the Ubuntu Server Team, focusing on improving community relationships and building Ubuntu Server Edition deployment in the business environment.

The first kernel / linux install I ever did was 0.99p1, install floppies and all. I've been using a mix of linux/freebsd since then. Currently my laptop runs gutsy (upgraded from feisty). My server, if you can call it that, is a Mac g4 350mhz ppc running 7.04 server running samba and squid.

I'm an old old man.

As for background, from 1993 onwards I worked in ISP environments (local, regional and national) mostly on the network side of things (cisco mainly) and in 2001 moved into consulting (Canada, US, Europe). I just completed a management studies program at the college here, as well as two government accredited business certificates. Currently I'm preparing to take my PMP or CAPM, havent decided yet as to which I best qualify and also working on a number of web 2.0 projects (all utilizing linux as a base).
