This group is for anyone who can in some way say "Ubuntu is my day job". There is an expectation, but no requirement as such to be listed in the partner directory http://www.canonical.com/partners. The aim of the team is to form a partner ecosystem around the Ubuntu platform and is founded on the principal that if you mapped out the partnering relationships you should get a mesh, not a hub and spoke diagram. Of course Canonical is an important member of the partner ecosystem so the team is very much open to people who work at Canonical.
