2006-12-04 --- I started to write Lenovo and Sonix for their builtin webcam in the Lenovo 3000 N100. I got a developer access from Sonix. I also contacted the kernel programmer who wrote the driver of the Sonix 1xxx generation, Luca R.

2007-27-08 --- Webcam kernel drivers now available for most of the Lenovo Laptops (Thinkpad / 3000 series) for Ubuntu 7.04!!!
Internal laptop webcams, and webcams in general are not as good supported in Ubuntu, and Linux in general, as they could be.

I created this team to improve this issue - programmers could help with making drivers, other people with providing good ideas, packaging tools like the gaim-vv part, or contacting webcam manufacturers, and laptop manufacturers who build webcams into their laptops.
