Using the auto.net in auto.master recognizes the nfs shares but unable to cd into the latest directory which contains the actual data.
-host doesn't mount anything

I am having same problem with auto.net. When I try to cd to /net/salmo (one of our servers) I get in syslog:
automount[234566]: key "salmo" not found in map source(s).
